How to change file permissions?

The permissions option allows you to set access rights to specific users and groups of users. This way, you can make sure that no one but you is able to execute file, but other are still able to see them.

You can change the permissions in two ways:

  1. Select the files or folders you want (you can select multiple files/folders while holding the CTRL key) and then, click on the “Change Permissions” button in the toolbar.
  2. Select the files or folders you want (you can select multiple files/folders while holding the CTRL key), and then right-click on them, This will open a context menu, from where you have to select the “Change Permissions” action.

A new window will open, where you will see the files/folders selected and the permissions you can set for the. You can either type in the desired permissions, or mark the checkboxes. Once you are ready, click on the “Change”.
