How do I generate a CSR record prior to activating an SSL for my domain name?

To generate a new CSR record, you must click on the “Generate CSR” button and to fill in the following details:

  1. Organization Name: Type in the exact legal name of your organization. Please do not abbreviate the name of your organization.
  2. Organization Unit: Specify the exact department of your organization (optional).
  3. Country: Select your country from the list.
  4. State: The state or province where your organization is legally located. It should not be abbreviated.
  5. Domain Name: The fully qualified domain name for your web server, e.g. www.my-best-domain.com. This must be an exact match.
  6. E-mail: Type in your personal e-mail address.

Note:The following characters cannot be used in the details: < > ~ ! @ # $ % ^ * / ( ) ?.,&When ready click on the “Generate” button. Then you will be able to view or download the CSR and the Private Key.
